Understanding Toyota and Lexus Telemetry Enrollment Statuses

A guide to Enrolled, Not Enrolled, and Pending statuses for Toyota and Lexus vehicles, including troubleshooting steps to get your vehicle reporting data.

🟢 Status: Enrolled

Meaning: The vehicle is successfully registered and the connection is active.

If a vehicle shows as Enrolled but you are not seeing current data (location, odometer, fuel, etc.):

  • Action: Take the vehicle for a quick drive (5–10 minutes) in an area with clear cell service to "wake up" the telemetry module.

  • Support: If data hasn't updated for over 24 hours despite driving, please contact a support agent. We will need to open a ticket with Toyota to investigate the connection.

🔴 Status: Not Enrolled

Meaning: The vehicle's telemetry is currently inactive. This typically occurs for two reasons:

  1. Future Activation Date (RT/LCCS Vehicles): Program (RT/LCCS) vehicles are often pre-loaded into the system with a set activation date.

    • Enrollment happens automatically on that specific day.

    • Note: We cannot manually enroll these early, as the telemetry activation is tied to the start of the vehicle's insurance coverage.

  2. Awaiting Manual Enrollment: If the vehicle is past its activation date or is not an RT/LCCS unit, you can attempt to trigger enrollment manually.

    • Action: Click the Not Enrolled button to submit an enrollment request. The status will typically shift to Pending.

    • If you wish to know the activation date, please request a support rep to look into a specific vehicle further for you. It is normally set roughly within 5 days of the shipment date.

🟡 Status: Pending

Meaning: An enrollment request has been sent, but the vehicle hasn't yet "checked in" with Toyota or Lexus servers to finalize the connection.

  • 7-Day Window: The vehicle will actively attempt to connect for the first 7 days following the enrollment request (you can check the In Service Date in your vehicle settings to see when this window started).

  • Action: Ensure the vehicle is driven in an area with strong cellular signal.

  • Support: If the status remains Pending after 7 days, please notify us. We will need to coordinate with Toyota/Lexus to reset and retry the enrollment process.
